Eligibility Criteria for NCERT Faculty Job Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Professor: Must be an eminent scholar with a Ph.D. and a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience. A total research score of 120 and at least 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals are mandatory.
  • Associate Professor: Requires a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates must have 8 years of experience and a research score of at least 75.
  • Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree with 55% marks in the concerned subject and successful clearance of the NET (National Eligibility Test) or possession of a Ph.D. (as per 2009/2016 regulations).
  • Librarian Posts: Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science with the required experience as per UGC standards.
